given the cruel & unusual circumstances of the 2000 election, which pulled him out of that toxic, backwards, and polluted arena, he was provided a respite from day-in/day-out world of politics. And his mind became free to work at full capacity -- vs. the utter absurdity of having to dumb-himself down, speak like a child, lest the Corporate Pundit class attack even the slightest "sigh" he sounded (as during Debate #2 with Bush) -- the sigh of a visionary human constrained and dialed down due to being matched up against a mental midget whom the Corporate Powers positioned with all their might and media ownership, as "a regular Joe" -- and thus "accessible" to Americans -- vs some "elite" intellectual who considered himself better than all of them.
This is what this man has gone through for years and years -- biting his tongue -- becoming someone his dumbass Beltway "strategists" assured him he MUST be, so he can win. He did all of this, as it turns out (as we learned in that documentary), to navigate through the political maze so that he'd have the necessary venue to pursue his deep mission -- to literally save the world from a predictable and documented crisis the political class was blowing off.
This respite recharged Gore, as he began to move in new circles -- and in these business venues, he was released from the extreme tonnage of unnecessary weight created by these total energy-depleting and battle-fatiguing routines of elections and committees and weak insecure and bought-off politicians, and campaign strategists, and the associated dumbing-himself-down acrobatics, constantly self-monitoioring to make sure he didn't sound too SMART, and
