The Real Mayor Giuliani
We're in the '08 primary. The purpose of the primary is to weed out the weak candidates so that we have the best chance of winning the capital in 2008. Now is the time to attack the candidates in our own party to determine the weaknesses now so that we can uncover any fatal flaws that might sink a campaign in the general election. There is sense in the main stream media that we are marching towards a coronation of Hillary Clinton, There is a sense in the main stream media that the GOP will nominate Rudy Giuliani. Now is the time to use your critical thinking skills, evaluate all of the evidence and really understand the character and history of the candidates. It is true Republicans don't want a third term for the Clintons. We must however find our most inspiring leader - we must have a more compelling vision for this country than the democrats. Anybody but Clinton is not inspiring enough to capture the imagination of the country.
Rudy Giuliani is claiming that he is the only GOP candidate who can win the general election against Hillary Clinton. Rudy could not win the senate election in 2000 in his own state against the same Hillary Clinton. What makes him think that he can beat her now for the presidency? Rudy Giuliani is indistinguishable from Clinton if not left of Clinton on social issues. Prominent social conservative leaders in the party have already threatened to support a third party candidate in the general election if Rudy is nominated for the GOP. How can we expect the social conservatives in the party to betray their principles?
